Anyone can tell you they do clean work. We’d rather show you. The photos below are the kind of jobs our techs handle across Austin every week, from Hyde Park bungalows with 1990s condensers to Steiner Ranch homes where the furnace gave out on the first cold snap. Some of these were straightforward. A few turned into the kind of job that reminds you why a written guarantee matters. Names and addresses stay private, but the work is exactly what we did.

AC Repair: Burned Contactor and Melted Wiring, Barton Hills
The condenser stopped kicking on during a 98-degree afternoon. The contactor, which is the electrical switch that tells the outdoor unit to start, had burned contacts and the low-voltage wiring was heat-damaged. We replaced the contactor, stripped and re-terminated the wiring, and checked the capacitor while we were in there. System was cooling again within the hour. Total repair ran $240 with the written guarantee included.
AC Installation: 22-Year-Old R-22 Unit Replaced, Allandale
The old system was a 22-year-old Carrier running R-22 refrigerant, which is the old coolant that’s being phased out and getting expensive to recharge every spring. It leaked, it short-cycled, and the utility bills showed it. We replaced the condenser and evaporator coil, matched the system to the house’s actual load instead of just swapping like-for-like, and handled the old equipment disposal. The homeowner got a written fixed price before we ordered anything, and the install was done in one day.
Furnace Repair: Cracked Heat Exchanger, Round Rock
This one started as a no-heat call on a cold January morning. The inducer ran but the burners wouldn’t stay lit. We pulled the blower and found a hairline crack in the heat exchanger, which is a safety issue because it can leak carbon monoxide into the airstream. We red-tagged the unit, showed the homeowner the crack with a borescope, and laid out options honestly: repair was possible but replacement made more sense at that age. They chose replacement, and we had heat back on the same day.
AC Repair: Refrigerant Leak at Evaporator Coil, Mueller
The system was cooling but running constantly and never hitting setpoint. Our tech found a refrigerant leak at the evaporator coil, which is the indoor coil that absorbs heat from the house. We repaired the leak, pressure-tested with nitrogen, evacuated the system, and recharged to the manufacturer’s spec, not a guess. By the time we left, the temperature split across the coil was right where it should be. That repair was $380, and the written guarantee covers it if the leak returns.
AC Installation: Undersized Unit Corrected, Pflugerville
The house had a 2.5-ton unit that couldn’t hold 76 degrees on a normal August afternoon. That’s a sizing problem, and it’s common in Austin homes where additions were built without updating the HVAC. We ran a load calculation based on square footage, window orientation, and insulation, then installed a properly sized system. The difference, as the homeowner put it, was “night and day.” Installation includes the 365-Day Done Right Promise, so if anything’s not right a year later, we come back.
Furnace Repair: Failed Ignitor, Cedar Park
The furnace wouldn’t fire. The ignitor, which is the small ceramic piece that glows red-hot to light the gas, had cracked from years of heating and cooling cycles. We replaced it with a new hot surface ignitor, cleaned the flame sensor while we had the burner assembly open, and verified the gas pressure. Total was $210. That’s the kind of repair that takes 45 minutes, but we still give you a written price before we touch it.
