Meet the Austin Team Behind Halden Heating and Air Austin

We’re a local crew that shows up in uniform, introduces ourselves at the door, and gets to work. Some of us have been turning wrenches in Austin since before smartphones existed. Others joined recently and bring fresh training on newer inverter systems and heat pump technology. What unites us is simple: we don’t leave a job until the system is right and you understand what we did. Halden Heating and Air Austin has served this city since 2004, and the people below are the reason neighbors in Allendale, Mueller, and Circle C keep calling us back.

Our People

Marcus T. – Lead Technician

Marcus has worked on residential HVAC in Central Texas for 17 years, the last nine of them with us. He’s our Carrier and Trane specialist, which matters in Austin because so many homes in the Hyde Park and Rosedale neighborhoods still run older Trane units from the early 2000s. He holds EPA Section 608 certification for refrigerant handling and has seen enough failed capacitors and clogged condensate lines to diagnose most issues within the first 20 minutes of a call. Outside of work, Marcus keeps a vegetable garden that somehow survives every July, which he credits to shade cloth and stubbornness.

Lena R. – Senior Installer

Lena leads our AC installation and furnace replacement jobs, and she’s been doing it for 12 years. She’s certified on Daikin and Goodman systems and has handled more attic installs in the summer than anyone on the crew, which says a lot about her patience. Lena is the person who walks you through the whole install before we start, so you know where the equipment goes, why the return matters, and what the finished job will look like. She’s originally from San Antonio but has lived in the Austin area long enough to know which streets flood and which HOA rules will affect where a condenser can sit.

Dan P. – Service Coordinator

Dan is the voice on the phone when you call (361) 202-9170. He’s been dispatching HVAC techs for eight years and started with Halden Heating and Air Austin in 2019. Dan schedules every call with a live arrival time you can track, so you’re not stuck in a four-hour window guessing when we’ll show up. He also keeps our parts inventory moving, which is why we often have the capacitor, contactor, or control board your system needs on the truck the first visit. Dan knows the neighborhoods around Austin well enough to route techs around Mopac traffic and school-zone slowdowns without wasting your afternoon.

Isaac B. – Apprentice Technician

Isaac joined the team in 2022 after completing HVAC training at Austin Community College. He shadows Marcus and Lena on repairs and installs, and he’s already earned his EPA 608 certification. Isaac grew up in the Pflugerville area and brings the kind of energy that means he volunteers for the dirty crawlspace jobs nobody else wants. He asks a lot of questions, which we encourage, because a technician who stops asking questions stops learning. By next year, Isaac will be running his own service calls, but for now you might see him on your job handing tools to Marcus or sealing ductwork with Lena.

One Standard, Every Job

No matter which of us walks through your door, the standard doesn’t change. Every job gets a written price before any work starts. Every repair gets a written guarantee, and if that repair fails within the coverage window, we come back at no charge. That’s not a manager’s decision or a case-by-case judgment call. It’s automatic. Andre Fuller, Owner, has kept that rule in place since day one, and the entire Austin crew operates under it. We’re part of the Relay Home Co. network, which gives us resources a standalone shop might not have, but the people on this page remain independently owned and operated, locally based in Austin, TX, and accountable to you. The Relay Standard and The Relay Visibility Guarantee mean the same thing in practice: you’ll know who’s coming, when they’ll arrive, and what you’ll pay before we touch a single component. Book online, get a live arrival time, and track your tech to the door. If something isn’t done right, we make it right. That’s the job.
